- Drive to Vilano beach and look for sharks’ teeth. Any local will tell you it is the most popular place to find them. They are normally easy to spot—just look for little black triangles. Make a game to see who can find the most.
- Walk down St. George Street. Even if you do not buy anything it is always fun to walk into the small shops and take a look around at local art. With the street being pedestrian only, there is no need to worry about oncoming traffic.
- Visit Castillo De San Marcos Fort. Since this is considered a National Park, the admission fee is nominal. Even if you decide not to go inside you can always wait on the grass for the cannons to go off every few hours as you enjoy a home-made picnic or take out from a favorite Historic District restaurant.
